The Invasion

Joe and I watched The Invasion yesterday at Asheville’s new Cinebarre. The movie was great…for a good review, check out this blog posting by one of my Pownce friends: http://www.vrtualme.com/2007/08/19/review-the-invasion-2007/.

So, about the movie theater. The slogan for this new theater is “Eat. Drink. Watch movies.”. We ate…didn’t “drink” but had Diet Coke (Mmmmmm) and watched a movie.

The food was decent, neither of us liked not being able to see what we were eating though. We probably would have had a “drink” had they had a liquor license, but our only drink choices were beer and wine (or mixed drinks made with wine <– huh?).

The seats were comfortable and the idea of being “served” while watching a movie wasn’t as bad as one might think. It also wasn’t very crowded so that made the venue a little more appealing, but if we go hungry again we’ll make sure to get there early so we can “see” our meal.

  1. thank you sooooo much for the kind words, and for the link. i try to give people background info in my reviews, instead of the same old thing everyone else is saying. not just “i liked” or “didn’t like” such and such, but “did you know?” and “check this out”.

and i have been thinking about writing up a review of my local theater too.
