Obama’s Dean-scream equivalent

Well, so much for Barack Obama. I think his speech talking tough about Pakistan will pretty much ruin his campaign. What was he thinking? Does he seriously think that America is ready to engage in conflict (diplomatic or military) with yet another country? This is the complete opposite tone of that which he portrayed in his book The Audacity of Hope. Frankly, I’m really surprised. I had big hopes for him.

Don’t get me wrong, I can look past a lapse in judgement, but his fellow Democrats who are also vying for candidacy probably won’t and his Republican counterparts definitely won’t. I doubt the majority of the American public will be able to overlook this either – we’re all weary of war and conflict.

Honestly, this speech makes me think that Osama bin Laden is to Barack Obama as Saddam Hussein was to George Bush. Nothing good can come of fixating on a single “opponent” or terrorist and making administrative and policy decisions accordingly. Obama’s career is certainly far from over, but his 2008 Presidential campaign just ran into a brick wall.

Obama campaign, RIP.

  1. Eh, stop messing around and support Ron Paul. He’s the one that makes the most sense.
