3rd Annual Chocolate Festival

The 3rd Annual Chocolate Festival was held at the Grove Arcade in Asheville, North Carolina. I was disappointed. There wasn’t that much chocolate and it was way too crowded. The Grove Arcade just isn’t made to handle large crowds (inside at least). They had live music (visible in the upper 1/2 of the 4th picture), but they stopped playing about 5 minutes after we arrived. I snapped a couple of pictures (see below). The proceeds went to a good cause, however — Buncombe County Medical Society’s Project Access. In case you’re not familiar, Project Access provides healthcare to Buncombe county residents who are unable to afford it.

Joe and I lasted about half an hour before hightailing it out of there. We cruised back to our side of town and stopped by Northside Grill for an early dinner (chicken wings). Their special for the day was $0.25 wings and $5.50 Long Island Iced Tea. Not ever having a LIIT before, I decided to try it out (even though Joe advised me not to). Did I mention that I was driving? I drank 1/4 of the drink and already the room was spinning. We hung out and watched baseball until I sobered up. Saturday’s lesson = no more Long Island Iced Teas for Justin. 🙂
