Changed my major

As I have alluded in my previous posts, it’s been crazy-making here lately. Up until about two weeks ago, I was just drowning – not even keeping my head above water.

The weekend after we got back from Vegas, I had to study for a physics exam that would be administered on Wednesday. It was on six chapters (6-12) and after our week in Vegas I was feeling good about my classes and was confident that I would be able study and do well on the exam. Well, I started studying at 12pm on Saturday (Chapter 6) and was still on the same chapter at 8pm that evening. This didn’t sit well with me, something had to give…

Twitter and Twittervision

Yes, I have finally caved and am now registered on Twitter (it’s all Leo Laporte’s fault).  Want to know what I am doing all the time?  Then click on this link, http://twitter.com/justevolvin, or use the link on the blogroll to see what I’m up to.  I highly recommend going to http://twittervision.com for some pretty decent entertainment.  There you can look at a map of the world and watch what people are saying in real time using their Twitter accounts.  Anyways…Enjoy!

OK – so it’s been almost a month since my last post, but things have been nuts! Just “crazy-making” as Merlin Mann would say. It’s funny though, I woke up about an hour ago and was dreaming about Las Vegas – I miss it already! I loved that place! So what happened after that last post?

Las Vegas – 1st Post

OK, so we have been here since Sunday…what a fabulous city! I mean there is just so much to do here it isn’t even funny! You could probably spend weeks out here and still not see everything. The plane trip was pretty cool, I got to see the Rockies and the Grand Canyon for the first time (from the air of course). We are staying at the Venetian…below is the view of the mountains from our hotel room, a view entrance to the Venetian with the Mirage in the background and another view of the entrance to the Venetian with Treasure Island in the background.

To all my fans…

March 1, 2007 at 9:03 pm | Posted in Cerner, education, job, vacation | Leave a comment

…because there is so many of you (ha!).

Anyhow, just wanted to leave an update on where I’ve been. Lots of stuff going on right now and I’m just trying to keep my head above water. I should be studying right now, but thought I would post something real quick while dinner is cooking and study after I eat.

So anyways, between work and school I am just covered up. I’m keeping up, but it’s difficult. As you know (if you’ve been reading), I am attending school full time. Juggling this with work has never been a problem before (this is about my third year of full-time work and full-time education), but now, throw in there that I started a new job and it’s just bananas! I now understand what information overload is. Between all the new material at school and completely learning a new elaborate computer system (Cerner) with new responsibilities, my brain is just screaming “No more!”

Anyhow, I have lots to talk about. I have been jotting down stuff that I want to write about, so I should have some really interesting posts coming up over the next week. Spring break officially begins tomorrow afternoon and I can’t wait – I need a break! Joe and I are flying out to Las Vegas for the week, so we should both have some much needed downtime and, of course, time with each other. Of course I’ll post whatever pictures that I take while I’m out there (I’m going to try to post real-time, but we’ll see). I find that while I am out of town that I am not too interested in picking up a computer, but I’ll have it with me just in case.

So come back soon – I promise to keep it interesting!
