Vacation – Orlando, Florida

OK – so we had a three part vacation in December. First, it was wonderful! It was incredibly nice to not think about work or school and to spend time with Joe – having fun, spending money, shopping, and eating out. Our first stop was fun and exciting – Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Downtown Disney at Night

This first shot is the view from our hotel room balcony. We stayed (again) at the Lake Buena Vista Palace in the Downtown Disney Resort Area. The lights and the water is basically all of Downtown Disney. The bright white thing on the right-hand side of the photo is Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba. We went to see that twice last year, but skipped it this year.

Brooms

This second picture is these cool little planter things you see when you first come into Downtown Disney (from the direction of our hotel). I really like these – the last time we were here they had plants growing out of the buckets with different color flowers that reached all the way down to the planter.

Epcot from Hotel

This picture is the view of Epcot from our hotel balcony. This is the only park we went to this time. The Dolphin resort is also visible in the left-hand part of the background. The foreground is another Disney resort that is across the street from our hotel.

Epcot Globe

This picture is a look at the Epcot globe from the perspective of China or some country on the opposite side of the lake.

Bonsai Village

This was something cool that either wasn’t there the last couple of times we were there or we just never noticed it before. It is a little miniature town with a railroad and bonsai trees. I really liked this.
